Something I Will Never Forget
The second day of the Civil Rights Trip was a more than worthy sequel to day one. We started off the day with a church service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the church of Martin Luther King Jr. Then we continued onto Auburn St. where we went on a tour of his birth house, the old Ebenezer Baptist Church, and attended other various center's around Auburn St. dedicated to the Civil Rights movement. Later that day we all sat down for a talk with Ambassador Andrew Young which was very inspiring. As we talked about issue's in the world today and their connections with issues in the past especially in terms of ignorance and hatred. Finally, our last stop was The Center For Civil And Human Rights which was ground breaking for me. More specifically the Greensboro 4 simulation which places you in the sit in and made you experience the mental abuse that they faced from all the hatred of the racist people around them. I will never forget this experience. It was all very heart wrenching and today was undoubtedly amazing, I love everyone here and I cannot wait until day 3 comes along. I am having a blast!!!!
