Something I will remember

Today was a day that I was hoping that I wasn't going to cry. When we went to the civil rights memorial I was upset because there were so many names that I didn't know because they were never taught. Also, I liked that we took an oath in tolerance and we accepted it so we put our names on the big screen to let everyone know that we were here and that we are leaving a mark in something knew. Once we heard the stories of most of the people that died it hurt me on the inside because if we didn't come today then we would have never known their names and what happened to them. What really stood out me was the Confederate Cemetery because of the tombstones that said "unknown solider". That stood out because they fought for something and they are not know for it. I believe if you fight you should be known, if you're not known then why be buried. Then once we headed to the church I felt there was faith and knowing that there is God to help you find a way and he will always be there. My favorite part of today was when we walked across the bridge and came together to share our thoughts about the day. It is my favorite because we got to hear what our group felt and feel more connected with everyone. One thing I wanna take from this trip is that we are family and this our trip and that we are at actually going to do something about what we believe in. I love this group, I really do. It's more of a family than just people together on a bus for 6 days.
