When does coping turn into rebellion?
I am left with a swirling mess of thoughts at the end of this first day. Particularly, I am left thinking about some fundamental, stripped down questions: when does coping turn into rebellion? Is it right not to trust someone of another generation because of their unwillingness — an unwillingness that stems from systemic fear and a desire for safety — to stand up for just and respectful treatment? I don’t know the answers to these questions personally. I can only be thankful that many brave people in our history have found the courage to stand up, even if no one had done so before, to create change. This is a change that I and everyone around me merits from, and it’s a change that needs to continue evolving.
